Leonardo Lopez

Economic Development Assistant Director

Leonardo Lopez is MOC’s Economic Development Assistant Director. He leads the Entrepreneurship Foundations program, a 12-week intensive training program designed to provide entrepreneurs with the knowledge and confidence to launch and sustain their own businesses. The program, which began in 2022, had more than 70 graduates by the end of 2024. Leonardo also helps community members obtain business loans and technical assistance, and provides assistance in establishing small business incubators. He understands the vital role that small businesses and entrepreneurs bring to the community and is passionate about increasing financial literacy and helping community members build generational wealth.
Leonardo is a graduate of Metropolitan State University with a degree in Finance and a former financial planner providing financial services to families and individuals in Colorado. Leonardo also serves as a mentor for aspiring entrepreneurs outside of his work at MOC and is currently serving with the city of Denver Legacy Business Committee. In his free time, he enjoys riding his bike and enjoying the beautiful outdoors of Colorado.
